Dr. Rahat Abrar, PRO of AMU, is lobbying hard with the Vice-chancellor and MAS people to get the referral for a surgery of his wife (even though the facility for such a surgery is fully available at JN Medical College). He is pressing for an amount equivalent to the expenses incurred at JN Medical college to be issued to him and rest he will take care himself. Do the rules allow that?? Can a person be referred through MAS for a surgery for which facility exists at AMU??? Can the AMU Vice-Chancellor ask MAS to do that?? Will it not open a pandora\'s box with every University employee pressing for such a request??? Can RTI people do something to prevent this kind of corrupt practice?? Being published! Hope the AMU administration wakes up! We think that it is the responsibility of one an all to see to it that precious funds of AMU are not misused!

Main concern: What Next The next date of next hearing is fixed for 3rd August, 2010. Do the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar has following answers: Is University going to continue with Mr. Ejaz Maqbool and his choices? Are there again somebody is going to be suspended after 3rd August 2010 in the pretext of some calculation and presumptions which has no relevance with the merit of the case? If the University is planning for a new panel of advocates then there is very less time for preparation, because the penal advocates has to go through almost twelve volumes of original records submitted to the Supreme Court having thousands of pages. Almost there is need of complete reading of 72 cases of last four decades in relation to minority matters of the country. Apart from the above, critical understanding of the Two judgments of the Allahabad High Court in the light of University Admission Policy and procedure are must. Many original records are in Urdu, Arabic and Persian- a non-Muslim advocate requires more time to understand and grasp it. Who will brief the new advocates about the technicalities and history of AMU? Is the present Registrar competent enough at least to explain what the finer points of contentions in the civil appeals before the Supreme Court of India leave the other parts of Urdu, Arabic and Persian? It has crossed One month from the last hearing/happening? Is it not showing another callous attitude of the Registrar and Vice-Chancellor in sitting over the matter and not a single announcement is coming to the Public except victimization in the name of the minority case? Again are they planning for another adjournment with the new group of advocates due to lack of time? Seriousness and intentions of the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar in the Minority matter is really questionable. For the Millat and the University, Please wake up, leave the attitude of victimization, show some character as Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the University – do something, correct the mistakes, time is too short. Bein published!

There were errors in the entrance test of the PG medical courses of the JNMCH, the test was cancelled and re-held, why did not it penalise the responsible functionaries? Being published. Hope the AMU administration is listening!

Khurshid A Khan has filed a no of RTI on some very big and important issues related to the Registrar Prof Jaleel and he has lost his sleep and is nowadays busy intimidating his subordinate staff not to provide correct information as it might cause a big embarrassment to the University. It is similar to the commendable work done by Dr Mohd Naved Khan of MBA deptt against the FO which unravelled huge financial scams of Finance Deptt.Well done Khan Sahebs Keep it up. We strongly believe that after several instances of censure, show cause notices, compensation and penalty by the Central Information Commission, AMU officials must have already realised that they cannot 'hide' records from those exercising RTI in AMU. We expect more citizens to come forward and exercise their right to information.

Shri Kamal Faruqui has been hired by the VC to represent him in the Enquiry Commission .Mr C L Kaul has handed over all the papers and documents to AMU and AMU administration is planning to hold back those papers which are against VC and his cohorts.RTI group and others representing are therefore advised to take corrective steps. Both the judges of the Enquiry Commission have been given the sitting Judges of High Court Status minus the Pension by the HRD Ministry. It is hoped they complete the work in a truthful manner in a time bound way. There is also a news of a mysterious letter from Visitor through HRD ministry regarding ceasing of certain powers of the VC this week. We do not think AMU VC would jeopardise his career by hiring a novice. We believe that all the papers have already been handed over to hon'ble members of the Fact Finding Inquiry Committee. We believe that the honourable members of the committee would be submitting a report based on facts.
