In the context of the sleuth of messages below let me provide the ground reality.
The public gathering mentioned below consisted of dis-partite group of individuals owing allegiance to different political dispensations and have their personal agenda.
The situation is so bad toady that some of the group members are barely on talking terms with each other.
The battle lines have clearly been defined and there are two diametrically opposite groups..
Saghir, Bilal, Mahboob (pathology), Atiq(Geogrohy), M Farooq (Mech Engg), PQ Rizvi (Agriclutre-Dean) and Abid Khan(Mech) openly supporting and completely aligned with the VC.
The other half of comprises of people who TOTALLY OPPOSE the VC and include people like Muzammil (Mech Engg), Moinuddin (Biochem-JNMC), Ashraf (Maths), Rafiuddin (Chemistry), Mohsin Khan( Commerce), Irshad Mahmood (Botany), Noorul Hasan (Jt. Secretary) and Jamshed (secretary). |

Prof. Noor Mohammad, by remaining as Chairman (Department of Sociology & Social Work) illegally for such a long period (i.e. for more than 20 years), has developed strong contacts within and outside University which has hardened feudalistic attitude, demolished democratic functioning and have bred corruption, inefficiency and unaccountability, which most of the time end up as harassment for the teachers and students of the said Department. There is complete absence of rules enforcing transparency. |

In one of the messages published in this forum talks about people attending and not signing the register. What is the need to highlight the names of people who are political non-entities...I have never heard of these two people..
If somebody really wants to highlight then they should highlight the names of politicians in the campus who conveniently choose to skip important general body meetings and shed crocodile tears.
Secondly the message apparently is baised and factually incorrect..
If somebody is bold enough to air their views in public as is mentioned in the message then why would they be afraid of anyone. |
