Prof Azis is a very interesting person. He even removed a removed a Dean (Dr. K P Rajappan Nair) of the Faculty of Science, CUSAT, in spite of the intervention of the honorable High Court of Kerala (WP No. 2340 of 2005) and nominated Dr. Unnikrishnan Nayar instead citing that he has taken the action in the INTEREST OF THE UNIVERSITY AND STUDENTS! Even from the notice (No. VC/Dean/05 dated 31.10.2005) it was not clear as to what was the action Dr Azis had taken and what action he proposed to take against Dr. K P Rajappan Nair. The VC, CUSAT, has no power to take action against a Dean or cancel the nomination of a Dean. As per the Cochin University Act 1986, the Vice Chancellor has no power to take an action against an authority of the University and Dean is an authority of the University as per definition. A Dean can be removed only as provided in Section 46 of CUSAT Act 1986. Dr Azis manipulated things to get Dr Unnikrishnan Nayar elected to Senate and then nominated him to the Syndicate. CUSAT became notorious for disregarding the Court Orders and misrepresenting facts before courts and law enforcement agencies (in cases involving innocent students of CUSAT who were rusticated on flimsy grounds) during tenure of Dr. Abdul Aziz as VC, CUSAT. Interestingly, learned Dr Azis, now VC of your university AMU, was not found suitable for a teaching post at the CUSAT. The Academic indiscipline in the Ph.D. Viva system at CUSAT continued for a long time when Dr. Aziz, tried to conduct the Ph.D Viva in defiance of all norms. There were so many examples of PhD. Viva being held with notices of even less than an hour. In one case, Dr. K.K. Mohammed Yusuff (Dr Azis’s friend) was appointed as TEMPORARY Dean on 31.3.2004 to conduct the Viva Voce examination of Miss T.R. Renuka. While Dr Azis’s communication (Para 4) stated he had URGENTLY nominated Dr. K. K. Mohammed Yusuff as temporary Dean on 3.4.2004 in Dr. K P Rajappan Nair’S absence for the conduct of viva voce Ms. Renuka T. R. on 7.4.2004. Moral of the Story: If Dr Azis has tried or already removed any HOD, Dean etc please forgive him. He is habitual at it! Long live Dr Azis! BUT GOD SAVE AMU! (Excerpts from letters dt. 16 June 2006 and 9.11.2005 addressed to Registrar and VC, respectively, CUSAT, Cochin-682022 by Dr. K P Rajappan Nair, Radhanivas, TC 4/929, Pipeline Road, Kaudiar (P.O.), Trivandrum-695003 with ref to Notification No. Conf II/Deans/98 dated 29.5.2006 and Notice No. VC/Dean/05 dated 31.10.2005, respectively) |

In one of the recent messages here someone has talked about \"sane & dignified VC\". Actually, the greed of chair & position makes anyone a cruel & insane person. Now see Prof. Pervez (Registrar, controller, OSD, MIC, Manager - an all-in-one sasta tikau package) who doesn\'t want to do anything for anyone and who does not to listen to anybody - a totally useless fellow is dancing on the finger tips of VC just to save his so many chairs given to him by the VC. Being, so called educated and unbiased person Pervez sb. can guide the fool VC on the right path but why should he? The so many positions he is enjoying nowadays will be taken back from him na. He was supposed to look after the Controller\'s Office only and bring some drastic changes but he....leave it. He is a very sharp player. |

Dear Crusaders
Why is Dr. Tariq Worried? If he is not guilty of manipulating his marksheet he will be exonerated.
An inquiry will remove any doubts whatsoever on his academic credentials.
And if he is guilty he should be punished. |
RTI crusaders are not worried at ALL. It is the AMU administration which is WORRIED! |
