1 The staff Association of AMU needs to learn a lot from the Jet Air Pilots about UNITY and how to deal with high-handedness. "UNITY" in AMU ???

2 Dear all, We hail and support the decision of AMUTA to observe one day token strike on issue of Dr. Tariq Islam. But to our dismay we find that some teachers of AMU are hands in glove with VC. one such person is Dr. Mazhar Abbas of Medical college who violated the AMUTA call and went on to take his classes. God help AMU and AMUTA. Unanimous resolutions of AMUTA are supposed to be respected and adhered to by all members!

3 Dear RTI crusaders, this is to warn you of a newly amemded cyber laws which states that: Offensive emails and messaging can lead to 2 years in jail as per Indian cyber laws With anonymous mails and messaging virtually taking hold of everybody, the proposed amendments to the Information Technology Act, 2006, have made it clear that transmission of any text, audio or video that is offensive or has a menacing character can land in a jail for two years. The punishment will also be attracted if the content is false and has been transmitted for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger or insult. The amended Act was placed before the Lok Sabha during the recently concluded winter session. However, it has made cyber stalking, cyber defamation and cyber nuisance an offence. Anybody found indulging in all these offences can be imprisoned for two years. Making the law more technologically neutral, the amended provisions have included authentication of electronic record by any electronic technique. At the moment, electronic records can be authenticated by just digital signatures, the public key infrastructure technology (PKI). With the new provisions, however, biometric factors like thumb impression or retina of an eye shall be included as techniques for authentication. Even as the law makers have tried to cover up for the lapses of the current IT Act, they seem to have made it liberal by way of reducing the punishment from three years to two years. With these changes, a cyber criminal will now be entitled to bail as a matter of right, as and when he gets arrested. Source: http://www.cyberlawsindia.net It is better to come out with documentary evidence for public comments but drop the system of anonymous messaging system. If you do not stop indulging in mud slinging and continue with your whims and policies, you will see its consequences very soon in terms of filing petition of harrasment in the court of law. Thanks for the warning! At times, people who post messages do send us heaps of documents, but owing to limited resources we cannot publish them. In case anyone is aggrieved, they are welcome to contact us. Nobody in this world is perfect. We have already requested and warned people not to use this platform to settle personal scores or defame anyone.
