Dear RTI Crusaders
You have done a yeoman\'s job in exposing corruption in many walks in life and prominently in AMU. I do beg your indulgence for my naivety but I feel that one area that has neglected or has failed to grab your attention is Municipal Services and ADA.
Aligarh in general has become a Garbage Dump..If you take a walk around Dodhpur or Sir Syed Nagar you will realize what I am pointing at.. Heap of rubbish is dumped at regular intervals on the roads...There are no municipal bins around..Secondly no regular cleaning is ever done. I am sure there must be a provision for that...If at all duties for cleaning etc have been assigned then I am sure these duties exist on paper...These cleaners are phantom cleaners.
Secondly the proliferation of Flats across Aligarh has resulted in an extraordinary amount of garbage and waste generation which is dumped on the roads. Naali\'s with no adequate sewerage facilities either are overflowing as they are finding it difficult to cope up with the deluge from these quasi-illegal flats. The irony is that these developers have shunned building soak pits and all the discharge flows directly into the menial drains.
We request you to kindly file two different RTI applications directed towards ADA and Aligarh Municipality.
ADA should be made to answer as to how permission was given for the construction of flats in different areas without the regards for law and provisions for sewerage and other amenities. Also covered up area and how much should be left up in front and other related questions should be put up to them.
Municipality should be asked to provide a roster of the cleaning staff with frequency, area-wise duty allocation and other things that you may think of... I hope you will heed our request and do the needful and do publish this message as well...

Please visit New AMU website and decide for yourself if it is AMU\'s website or PK\'s website. No University posts the CV of VC on the website. |
True!! However, there is no harm if the VC is going public if you have some objections on his CV with concrete facts/documents then do write to the the administrator of the AMU Website |

The matter should have been immediately reported by you in case you were witness to such posting by Dr Naved! |
