We have come to know that Mr. Asif, EC member is being investigated by AMU for an alleged fake high school marksheet. Why has he not been suspended like Dr. Tariq, pending enquiry??? The 2 cases are exactly the same. YES your information is correct. We shall soon be uploading all the relevant documents obtained under RTI. It is common knowledge that Dr Tariq has been suspended for his RTI activism and the talk of fake marksheet is baseless and malicious. We shall soon be uploading documents that would prove how a conspiracy was hatched to falsely implicate Dr Islam with the sole objective of harassing him. Moreover, after going through the case of Dr Asif, it appears, the AMU administration firmly believes in a policy of pick and choose!

Dear All, ASAK, The incidents taking place in AMU are really sad indeed. The actions clearly shows total bankruptcy of the administrative minds at governing the affairs. The notice floated by the University is an example. The notice says --------- due to dharna, AMU and all its maintained institutions are closed till further orders. This notice itself shows that a hasty decision has been taken without any planning. VC has failed to realise larger implications of such an order. The notice is exactly in the same language as is any notice about a University holiday. If the notice is strictly adhered to it means that all the offices including the departments should remain closed. Even the Junior Doctors have not been exempted. There is no word about the Research Scholars or Foreign students. There is a big dilemma and chaos among teachers and other staff of the University weather they should go to their offices or sit at home? No one knows what to do. All people in administration are busy praising the VC of his action. One after other, VC is giving out messages of total administrative failure. While those at helm of affairs are busy in getting themselves promoted to various posts. Prof. Muzaffar, Proctor, is trying all his best to get the PVC post while Prof. Mujahid Beg is lobbying hard for being the new Proctor. Registrar, which is a non-teaching man, is going to the halls of residence to see how many students have left. What is the role of Registrar in student affairs??? Finance Officer was there giving suggestions in every meeting. What\'s her role in students\' affairs?? VC should see to it that only those people (TEACHERS), who are in touch with students, one way or the other, should have a say in students\' affairs. Our VC will be going to delhi on Tuesday as he has been summoned by HRD minister to explain the unilateral decision taken by him without informing HRD ministry. He may have tough time explaining the reasons. The agitating students are moving to delhi now and plan to continue their Dharna at Jantar mantar. They have been pledged support from students of JNU, Jamia millia, Delhi University, NSUI, etc. We may see some fire-works from Delhi. A meeting of AMUTA has been called on Monday where it is felt that some heated discussions are gonna take place with one group spporting and the other opposing University closure. AMUTA will try to get this action of closure condemned in the meeting and they may also ask for VC\'s head(resignation). They are also going to resume their Hunger strike from Tuesday. The report of FACT FINDING COMMITTEE is also due to come some time this month, that too probably before University re-opens. This report will also see some tussle in the University. There will be allegations and counter-allegations after that. Some say VC has done this sine die to get focus shifted from the upcoming report. Whatever happens, it appears that AMU will be facing some big problems ahead. May ALLAH help AMU and peace prevails. M S Khan MBBS 2004 We request one and all to post RTI related messages. We also believe that there is nothing wrong in any university teaching staff member aspiring for a particular post. We are publishing this message in the interest of the AMU as also general public.

What should teachers do after the present order from AMU administration regarding closure of University?? Shall we stop going to the University???? The present order is worded exactly as any notice of University is worded. Why are the offices opening when it is clearly mentioned in the notice that AMU and all its maintained institutions have been declared closed?? To the best of our understanding, we have to report to our departments/offices and work towards academic "resurgence"!

dept. of gynae and obst. is one of the worst administered departments of JNMC. apart from salary, even leaves are not given when required. if u ask for any paper in the office, no records are available. residents shd report this matter to officials through RDA. If records are not being maintained, it a clear violations of the RTI Act. We suggest that one of you should file RTI on the status of implementation of RTI in the dept of gynaecology. Details of leaves can also be obtained through RTI. If leave was denied, facts and reasons can be asked.

All PG students of OBG & Gynae JNMC have been deprived of the salary for last 7/8 months. The matter has been reported to VC. What action is being taken against the chairman for harassing the students by detaining the record in the department required for making the salary? Salary is still not paid. P G Students of OBG & Gynae JNMC We are shocked at the sorry state of affairs! We suggest that RTI be filed to know of the facts and reasons for delay in disbursement of salary.
